Children
God focused. Family Driven.
At First Baptist Gatesville, we take seriously our commitment to help families as they raise their children to be all God has created them to become. Each of our weekly activities hopes to build toward this goal including:
Sunday School
Through age appropriate lessons and fun activities, your child will develop biblical foundations as they learn about the Christian faith and how it applies to their life. We have some amazing teachers who desire to share their love for the Lord as they teach and encourage children.
Children's Sermon
A time in our weekly worship service dedicated to our children and helping them learn Biblical truths.
Mother's Day Out
A program parents can take advantage of, where the children can be left in the loving hands of Christian ladies to be taken care of while their parents have some time for themselves. Children will have a fun time building their social skills by playing with children their own age.
Family Worship
A time each week, where we join as families to worship with kid-friendly worship music and our children learn the importance of worshiping God together.
R.A.'s
(Royal Ambassadors) A group for 1st thru 6th boys grade that meets every Wednesday evening during the school year, R.A.'s is a Bible-centered, church-based, mission organization focused on living out the R.A. pledge to become a well informed follower of Christ. The group of boys divides into two groups and has two Christian men who lead them through the Lad and Crusaders guides. To learn more, visit www.royalambassadors.org.
G.A.'s
(Girls in Action) A group for 1st thru 6th grade girls that meets every Wednesday evening during the school year, G.A.'s is a Bible-centered, church-based, mission organization focused on living out the G.A. pledge by learning about missions, praying for missions, giving to missions, doing missions, and participating in the work of the church. The children of today are the missions' leaders of tomorrow; WMU encourages children to learn about God's love, become aware of the needs of others, learn the importance of prayer; and start doing missions themselves. Mission Friends
The church missions organization of WMU for preschoolers ages birth through kindergarten, Mission Friends provides developmentally appropriate missions learning experiences to help preschoolers move from a self-centered focus to a focus on others, to become aware that not everyone knows about God's love, and to understand ways they can help others know about this good news! In addition to these weekly activities, our Children's Ministry has many additional activities throughout the year, including special trips, service projects, and events.
